Modern Design, New Software, and Innovative Functions

Following an extensive testing phase, a new version of the VGN app is now available in the Google Play and the Apple App stores. The “VGN journey planning & tickets” app is based on MENTZ’s white label solution “Gullivr.” The VGN app has a brand new design and a range of setting options like a customizable menu bar, various display modes for delays, dark mode, and much more.

New Era with a New App

“Our app users offered such helpful and valuable suggestions during the testing phase that we now have a great, fundamentally revised app that helps users customize their mobility using the latest technology,” explained Anja Steidl, VGN’s Managing Director. “The app is intuitive and offers the ability to quickly get from A to B in the area covered by the VGN. Whether by bus or by train, using on-demand transport, by bike, or by car to a P+R area – the system links a range of transport modes and optimally fulfills the transport needs of our customers. And because the software is completely new, we are able to be more flexible and update the system more frequently and more easily. This app certainly marks the dawn of a new era,” touted Steidl in a VGN press release.

“We have been supporting VGN since 2021 to develop the app and provided especially close support during the public testing phase. Feedback received from users of the beta version (Android) and the “Next VGN app” (iOS) was directly incorporated into our development cycles. I would cite the trip planning and booking of on-demand services, and the many customization options within the app as some of Gullivr’s greatest strengths,” commented Ercüment Ünaldi, project manager at MENTZ.
