Sydney: MENTZ Wins Tender for Next Generation Trip Planner

We are pleased to announce that MENTZ has won the prestigious “Next Generation Trip Planner” tender from Transport for New South Wales (TfNSW) in Sydney. The new contract marks both the continuation of successful cooperation with TfNSW that spans sixteen years and a recommitment to elevate multimodal trip planning in the region to a new level. It also reaffirms EFA’s standing as the “best trip planner in the world” among global competition.

The new solution will operate as an SaaS hosted in the AWS Cloud, which uses load-based auto-scaling to dynamically respond to increasing demand. The solution is headlined by a multimodal trip planner that integrates Park&Ride options and MaaS providers to ensure seamless vehicle and route interchanges.

Another key ingredient of the new system is its OpenSearch-based analytics. This component enables in-depth analysis of trip requests and real-time data and provides riders in New South Wales with a more powerful, data-driven mobility platform.
