MENTZ Enhances Passenger Information in Victoria with Successful Project Completion
MENTZ has successfully launched its Event Management System (EMS) and Dynamic Data Integration Platform (DDIP) in Victoria, Australia, following a collaborative project with the Department of Transport and Planning (DTP).
This project go-live significantly enhances the journey planner EFA, providing Victorians with higher quality, real-time travel information. The new systems are crucial for improving the passenger experience by integrating real-time information and service alerts and providing them in GTFS-R standard to the open data community.
While the DDIP aggregates and transforms various real-time data sources, the EMS focuses on managing disruptions, allowing for accurate and feasible journey planning throughout Melbourne and Victoria.
This project builds on a 20-year partnership in the region. “The exceptional team spirit and our strong partnership with DTP were the driving force behind this fulfillment. Seeing this level of collaboration achieve such a great result makes me extremely proud.”, summarizes Andreas Mohr, MENTZ project lead.
We sincerely thank the Department of Transport and Planning for their outstanding teamwork and trust throughout this accomplishment. This was a true joint-success.
