Successful DIVA4 R19 Relaunch Training at the Integrated Transport Center (ITC) in Abu Dhabi
The Integrated Transport Center (ITC) in Abu Dhabi, which has used DIVA for operational planning of its expanding bus network since 2014, just successfully completed a relaunch training from DIVA R17 to the newest version DIVA4 R19. MENTZ’s support team was on-site for a two-day session to introduce the new software and thoroughly train ITC staff.
The training sessions included part theoretical introduction and part practical experience. In the practical part, a typical ITC workflow was presented in the new application. Specific questions pertaining to daily tasks could be posed and addressed directly.
By changing over to DIVA4 R19, the ITC now has a single application for timetables, duty scheduling, and roster planning, and benefits from a new deployment system with a range of new features. One key innovation is the integrated day type model and its related functionalities. ITC also has access to the new Crew Terminal module, which provides drivers with details on current and past duty schedules, as well as personalized accounts of their working hours.
Eight employees from different ITC subcontractors took part in the training sessions. They are responsible for operating the buses, assigning drivers, and deploying them on scheduled vehicles. Additional training sessions, particularly on the topic of e-mobility, have already been planned.
