Innovation Conference in Frankfurt

The Future of Mobility

This year’s conference in Frankfurt, Germany, was a 1.5 day gathering that centered around new products and encouraged active participation by customers. Presentations were grouped into two new categories: planning and passenger information. The structure of the event, involving interactive BarCamps, promoted dialogue and provided ample opportunity to network.

The conference began with a welcome address and a live digital survey. The presentations that followed focused on new products in DIVA, EFA, mobility platforms, ticketing, and apps, as well as on planning and passenger information. One of the highlights was a guest presentation by the SBB (Swiss Federal Railways) on the OJP 2.0 standard. Other topics included multimodal routing, EFA as a SaaS, transport service offering analysis, and duty roster optimization with GENIOS.

Feature voting was used to help prioritize the various topics discussed in the BarCamps, like multimodal routing, on-demand transport, and features of DIVA. After the first day of meetings, participants took a ride on a historic train and enjoyed a three-course meal.

The second day contained presentations on e-bus planning, DIVA deployment, DIVA in der cloud, digital departure boards, and product news on EMS, DDIP, and EFA. The final block of presentations covered applications for AI, deep integration of on-demand transport, a new driver app, the VVS mobility app, and check-in/check-out systems.

The conference ended after lunch. Participants from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland bid farewell, looking forward to meeting again in Mannheim, Germany, in 2026.
