Transport Authority for Lower Austria Contracts MENTZ for DIVA4 Timetable Software
We are pleased to announce that we were awarded the contract to deliver and develop a new software system for the Transport Authority for Lower Austria (TAfLA). In the scope of this project, which includes a maintenance contact of 5 years, the TAfLA will use our proven DIVA4 system.
Behind this request for proposal (RFP) is a major structural change: since September 1st, 2024, the TAfLA has been responsible for the conceptualization, planning, and management of regional bus routes and demand responsive transport services. In order to perform these tasks in the most efficient manner, the TAfLA was detached from the previously used VOR (Transport Authority for Vienna, Lower Austria, and Burgenland) DIVA system. With our support, they now operate their own, independent system environment, which moving forward, will be a key component to support the operations of the planning and transport services staff.
“Lower Austria Arrives” – A Strong Partnership
Our new system arrives at an exciting time. As the largest mobility provider in Lower Austria, the TAfLA manages over 578 regional bus routes and 14 demand responsive transport services.
Parallel to the technical revamp behind the scenes, the change is also visible on the streets: the previous brands “VOR Regio” and “VOR Flex” have been replaced by the new umbrella brand “leopoldi.” By 2030, more than 1,500 vehicles will carry the new design – with the sub-brand “Leo” (regional bus) and “Poldi” (DRT) – to all parts of Lower Austria. As a technology partner, we are excited to accompany the TAfLA along a future-oriented path geared toward greater mobility.
