To provide a special Deutschland Ticket for university students, the Würzburg Tram Company uses Shibboleth. Shibboleth is a proven single-sign-on authentication system that is commonly used by universities and research institutes. Students have two options: upload their student ID card and wait up to 3 days for approval, or log in directly using their university account and have the system instantly check their enrollment status and buy the ticket.
