Smart Public Transport in Dresden: The New MOBIApp

The beautiful city on the river Elbe, Dresden, just got a new multimodal app by MENTZ.

Three years ago, the project to create the MOBIapp was launched. Now, it is available for download in the Apple App and Google Play stores.

The DVB MOBIapp offers a range of features like:

Journey planning: journey planning and information for public transport, MOBIbike, taxis, private bikes and cars, and multimodal journeys

Departure board: dynamic settings options and real-time display

Ticket purchase: purchase and crediting of (account of) previously purchased public transport tickets

MOBIbike: fully integrated reservation and booking of MOBIbikes using the MOBIapp while accounting for customer fares and free minutes

alita: booking of alita on-demand journeys while accounting for special requests and the option to cancel tickets after they have been purchased

Parking machines: display of parking machines and parking zones on a map, including fees

Taxis: considers taxi trips when routing, costs included, and displays taxi stands on the map

And this is just the beginning! In 2025, a number of other developments are coming soon, like the integration of MOBIcar (webview).
